Silence in Love
The journey to change ourselves begins with learning the discipline of silence. At this time of chatter and noise, such quiet may feel strange and difficult. But once we start practicing, it is the pipeline for the heavenly resources to reach us.
But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me. Psalm 131:2 ESV
Disconnected from His power within, no wonder nothing seems to work for us. Lost in our world, we numb our soul with endless activities, noise and distractions. Give up control and defer to the heavenly. Set this time of silence aside to hear Him speak to your heart. Let us make a conscious choice now to bring ourselves and our family into the art and discipline of silence before the Almighty. This way, we will get to tap the wisdom and power from above in order to lead a life congruent to His will and purpose.
Do you have a lot of plans and goals for your life? Starting with stillness will teach your soul to depend on Him. It is time well spent and the reward will be astounding. Look for the opportunity to be quite with Him. Let this be the legacy of your family for the time to come.
When we are aware of His presence, it will be our natural tendency to be silent and behold His majesty. On the other hand, when we lead an empty life our soul strives to catch the wind, so to speak. Do you want less drama and more harmony in your life? Well, turn down the noise and tune in to His voice within and embrace deeper walk with God.
