Beautiful One

Most of the time we are keenly aware of our sinful nature and longstanding weaknesses. That is useful only in its purpose to help us depend on God and continue to remain in humility. Other than that, if left unchecked, it dwarfs our growth and stifles our joy. The devil specializes in using our negative realities to crush our spirit and push us into despair. Self-pity doesn’t get us anywhere too. Where does God stands in all this is the question.

My beloved spoke and said to me, “Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, come with me. Song of Songs 2:10

Our Father delights in us to the point to call us beautiful and darling for the obvious reason that He sees His Son Jesus Christ in our lives. All the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives is not waste. It produces His image in us that put forth the beauty inherent in Christ Jesus. We are reflecting His beauty in our journey of deeper walk with God. It is time to view ourselves from His vantage point, heaven’s point of view.

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Ecclesiastes 3:11

Our brokenness gives way to wholeness. Our weakness paves a way for His grace. In our darkness shines His light. It is the reality of being in His Spirit that makes His beauty realized in our frail humanity. Let us rejoice in Him and heed His voice that lifts up our spirit to soar high. This time we don’t discount His compliment because that is false humility. Instead we embrace His love and marvel on wonder working power of the Holy Spirit.
